Handling long recordings without losing accuracy, protecting students’ privacy and keeping API costs under control: three constraints that often conflict.

03 — The solution

Transcription runs entirely on-device with Whisper: the audio never leaves the phone, guaranteeing privacy and eliminating transcription costs even for hours-long lectures. The text is then processed by GPT-4o to produce organised notes faithful to the content, all inside a native, fluid SwiftUI interface. It is not yet published on the App Store.

04 — The result

A fully functional prototype that successfully balances high-quality note generation with strict privacy and low operating costs. It serves as a powerful personal tool for daily academic use and a solid technical foundation for a future App Store release.
